A Magical Night for Brian House

August 2025 –

On the 27th of August, Blackpool’s famous promenade came alive with the sound of cheering crowds and the sparkle of the Illuminations as thousands of incredible runners lit up the seafront in support of Brian House Children’s Hospice.

The 2025 Blackpool Night Run was once again a spectacular success. From the very first step outside Blackpool Tower to the turnaround at Red Bank Road and back again, the atmosphere was incredible; it would take more than rain to stop this crowd! With the Illuminations overhead and volunteers lining the route, the night was truly unforgettable.

This year’s event raised over £100,000! Every penny of which will help Brian House continue to provide vital care and support to children and families across the Fylde coast. Whether participants ran, jogged, or walked the 7.5km route, they did so knowing they were making a real difference in their local community.

Brian House is the only children’s hospice on the Fylde coast, providing specialist care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Their services are entirely free of charge and include respite care, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support. They also offer community outreach, music and play therapy and a peaceful Butterfly Suite offering families the chance to say goodbye in their own time.

Here at The Kentown Wizard Foundation, we’re proud to have supported Brian House since our inception in 2015 and to have funded the Night Run each year since 2018. It has always been more than just a fundraising event, it’s a celebration of community and the incredible work happening at our local children’s hospice.

Debbie Bamber, Operations Manager at The Kentown Wizard Foundation, says:
“Watching thousands of people come together in support of Brian House was truly heart-warming. The Night Run is always such a special evening. It’s filled with fun, energy and a real sense of purpose. We’re proud to be part of something that helps bring light and hope to local families who need it most.”

To every runner, volunteer, and supporter, thank you!
